unite. empower. advance.

The URA unites, empowers and advances youth rugby initiatives serving under-resourced communities across the United States.

Leveraging 50+ years collective experience in urban rugby development and organizational leadership, the URA creates transformative rugby experiences, delivers pro-bono organizational consulting and provides catalytic financial investments to a national network of organizations leveraging rugby for social change. United around a commitment to diversity, access and the research-backed benefits of sport, the URA exists to fundamentally change the landscape of empowering opportunities available to youth in low-income communities, while redefining the future of American rugby.

Starting, scaling and sustaining a rugby program that reaches minority students born into poverty, responsively meets their needs and holistically drives growth on and off the pitch is difficult. Extremely difficult. URA affiliates benefit from a vast array of services, resources and opportunities that ensure nobody needs to “reinvent the wheel,” and empower programs to be and become the best versions of themselves.
