URC 26 | DALLAS TX
5th Urban Rugby Championship to Be Hosted in Dallas by Family Faith Academy
Dallas, TX – December 2025
Urban Rugby America (URA) is thrilled to announce that the 2026 Urban Rugby Championship will be hosted in Dallas, TX on the weekend of March 21st, 2026. We are fortunate to be hosted by Family Faith Academy (FFA) at their Oak Cliff campus. This 5th annual championship is a celebration of URA’s continued mission to unite, empower, and advance youth rugby initiatives across under-resourced communities nationwide.
The championship will bring together URA programs for a weekend of high-energy competition and transformative experiences. Returning to the pitch will be standout programs such as ICEF Rugby (Los Angeles), Memphis Inner City Rugby, Chicago Lions Youth Rugby, Play Rugby USA, Cincinnati, North Philly, and Nashville all eager to battle for the coveted URC title. URA is thrilled to welcome new programs (to be announced) to this year’s championship in alignment with our 31x'31 initiative to launch & support 31 mission-aligned youth rugby programs by 2031, when USA hosts the Rugby World Cup.
In this spirit of growth, URA extends a warm invitation to new urban rugby programs from across the U.S. to join this one-of-a-kind tournament. “This is a call to action for teams committed to fostering equity, community, and the transformative power of rugby to reach out and be part of this groundbreaking event,” said USA Rugby Director of Community Rugby & URA Co-Founder, Kevin Battle.
Family Faith Academy is a brilliant venue for showcasing the best of youth rugby, while Dallas, with its rich cultural tapestry, promises unforgettable experiences for all participants and spectators. “It is both a pleasure and a true honor for Family Faith Academy to host the 5th Urban Rugby Championship here in Dallas, ” stated Jeff Robertson, Founder of FFA. “Our culture, our values of openness, and our celebration of diversity make this the perfect setting to welcome this wonderful tournament and the young participants coming from all across the country.”
Family Faith Academy and Urban Rugby America will introduce a new scheduling format to the week, kicking off our welcome banquet on Thursday night, followed by a 2-day tournament spanning Friday, 3/20 and the morning of 3/21 for championship competition. After Friday’s competition, URA and the United States Rugby Foundation will host a 6pm ‘Cocktail Hour’ at the Jackson Walker Law Firm, near Dallas’ Arts District.
Beyond the competition, the championship will feature community engagement initiatives, including college visits and cultural explorations of Dallas. This multi-faceted approach highlights rugby’s ability to inspire, educate, and create lasting bonds.
